What to Wear and How to Pack for Miami in October?

One thing you must keep in mind is that Miami is a fashion forward place, so pack your bags with bright, white, and bold colors and leave the blacks and grays at home. Here are some suggestions:

Women – Pack a bikini for the beach or pool and some sort of cover up later, like a tunic or sarong. For casual wear, you can go for tank-tops and shorts. Miniskirts and t-shirts or tube-tops are also hot in the city. Capris, shorts, skirts are all cool here as long as you are out for sightseeing. For evenings, you will need dressier clothing, like gowns and tunics. Ladies here take fashion risks, so you too can go for something bold and energetic.

Men – Shorts/trunks are the ideal beach/pool uniform here. You can also go around in vests and Bermuda shorts. T-shirts and shirts can also be paired with shorts. For formal occasions, you can go for button-down full-sleeve shirts in linen or cotton and dark trousers. A light jacket can also be added to your attire.

Kids – The usual shorts and t-shirts can be packed for kids. Girls can go for miniskirts and half-sleeved tops or tank-tops. Tunics and sundresses are also good options. Rompers also look good.  Boys can go for shorts and t-shirts or shirts.

Footwear – No matter where you go, comfortable footwear is always required. For most part of the day, you will be fine in open-toe shoes like sandals or flip-flops. However, most nightclubs and restaurants don’t permit entry in flip-flops, so you will need something classier. Men can go for sneakers or leather shoes. Ladies can go for heels or ballets.

Accessories – You will definitely need a good sunscreen, a chic pair of sunglasses, and a nice bag. A hat will also save you from the sun.

Don’t forget your ‘anything works attitude’ because the party never ends in Miami!
