What to Wear and How to pack for Beijing in November?
November sees the beginning of winter season and by the end of the month, winter has set foot in the city. Here are some packing tips:
Women – Indoors are generally hotter than outdoors, so layering would be a good option. Pack full and warm clothes like jeans and t-shirts or shirts. Warm slacks and leggings will also be good and can be worn with full-sleeve shirts and cardigans. You will also need cotton-padded jackets and warm sweaters while you are in Beijing. A thin coat might be required after mid-November.
Men – Go for jeans and full-sleeve t-shirts or shirts while you are indoors along with lightweight jacket or sweater, but if you are stepping out, you will have to pile on more layers of woolens, like a warm sweater or jacket or a thin coat, too. Warm trousers with full-sleeve shirts can be worn and layered with a casual sports jacket or a thick blazer.
Kids – Pack layers of clothes for your kids. Do pack thermals as they act as great insulators. Then, layer them with t-shirts or shirts along with jeans or leggings or slacks. A warm jacket or sweater can be worn over them. Do pack woolen or fleece sweaters.
Footwear – No doubt about packing closed-toe and comfortable shoes like boots or ankle booties. You can also go for sneakers and trainers or shoes which have insulated lining along their soles.
Accessories – As the weather is pretty cold, you will need skin care products like moisturizers and lip balms. Also take some cold medicine as the temperature difference between indoor and outdoor is considerable. You can bring scarves, gloves, and warm hats along with you, especially if you plan to visit the Beijing Great Wall.
