October weather is notorious for its changes. One day it is warm and sunny and then within a few minutes you see black clouds hovering around the city. The best way is to be packed aptly, here are some suggestions:

Women – Pack jeans in darker shades to act as base for most of your outfits and the layer with t-shirts, long tops and jerseys in bright or neutral shades. For daytime, you can go for knitted tops and leggings or denims, printed t-shirts and long-sleeved shirts also work well. For evenings you can go for a hooded coat, warm sweaters or leather jackets. A trench coat is also a good option keeping the rainy season in mind.

Men – Don’t pack too much and stick to the basics. Simple t-shirts, wrinkle-free button-up shirts and pants are the most basic items you will need here in any kind of weather. For the daytime, you can go for t-shirts and cargoes or Bermuda shorts if it’s warm enough or jeans or trousers in other cases. For cooler evenings, you will need full-sleeve shirts and warm trousers which can be layered with light sweaters or leather jackets. For the formal look, you can opt for denims, button-down shirt, and a blazer.

Kids – For your kids, pack light but in layers. T-shirts and full-sleeve shirts can be packed for the day which can be layered with lightweight jackets or sweaters in the evenings or a warm coat in case it gets colder. You can opt for denims, jeans or skirts and leggings or slacks too.

Footwear – Closed-toe shoes are best suited for this kind of weather. You can go for boots or ankle booties and it would be even better if they are waterproof. Sneakers, trainers and flats will also work well.

Accessories – Pack your sunscreen and sunglasses along with a raincoat. Don’t forget a nice bag and a long scarf, too.
